French Toast Casserole

Ingredients
  • 1 large loaf French bread
  • 8 eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 4 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 4 Tbsp butter, cut into small pieces

 Instructions

Tear bread into 1-2 inch chunks.

Put torn bread in a 12″ Dutch oven.

Beat together all remaining ingredients, except butter.

Pour over bread.

Dot the top with butter.

Bake at 350° with 9 coals on bottom and 15 on top.

It should be done in 30-45 minutes, when
eggs are set.
